Pleated

Skirt- Zara- Similar Here & Adore this  Roll Neck Sweater- COS  Shoes- Zara
Clutch- Vintage Saint Laurent  Stacker Rings- H&M  Watch- Michael Kors
Bracelet- Topshop

Leather is a big trend for Autumn/Winter and a trend I utterly adore. This skirt ticks so many boxes for me. It leather for one, it sits high on the waist creating a womanly silhouette and the length I feel really flatters the cut and pleats of the skirt. Anyone who reads my blog will know I am a huge fan of Zara so I am always keeping an eye on new things coming into store. I styled this look today as kind of a chic, Autumn simple vibe. The shoes and clutch dress it up but you could always thrown on a cape and ankle boots to really dress this down. My clutch is vintage Saint Laurent and is absolutely beautiful. The cut out work in these pictures does the bag no justice its simply makes the bag! Its navy leather with white leather cut out pieces. You can imagine how lucky I felt when I rummaged around in the store in Portobello Market and came across this! Timeless piece and great find.

How would you style this skirt? I would love to hear your ideas.

The Trend: Culottes

The Trend: Culottes

Culottes are making a statement this spring/summer. They are everywhere at the moment on the high street. In my opinion they are versatile and flattering. Worn high on the waist, with a bralet or cropped tee and heels for a glam look or dressed down with a simple staple tee and sandals for a daytime look. I love the culotte and will most definitley be investing in a pair myself.

How would you style them?

Bright Turquoise, Navy Blue, Cobalt and Powder Blue are some of my favourite shades of blue. I have incorporated three shades into my look today. The shirt is from Zara and is part of their current collection for spring. I loved the mixture of blues in this shirt and the white collar and cuffs makes it feel very spring/summer. I styled this shirt with my grey skinny Jeans, Navy heels and American Apparel pouch. If you follow my Instagram you'll know that when I set off to shoot this look it was raining...luckily when we got to York the sun had come out.

Happy Monday thanks for reading!

I'm loving these busted knee jeans, ripped and distressed denim is everywhere right now. Now the weather is getting that bit milder I can justify exposing a bit of skin. I experimented with some of my own jeans at home and this was the outcome. I must say I was pretty impressed with how they turned out. ASOS have the best busted knee jeans I've seen on the high street (linked above). I have styled these with a staple white boyfriend fit shirt, Boucle jacket and my pink Zara heels which as you can guess I am obsessed with at the moment! I felt very spring like today.

Have you ever experimented with your jeans or other items of clothing?

Mellow Yellow

Mellow Yellow

Nail Polish- Deborah Lippmann in Build me up Buttercup  and Topshop in Cushy  Blouse- Zara  Dress- Zara

This week I'm loving yellow. It's such a beautiful  hue, it's everwhere at the moment and automatically adds a glimmer of sunshine to your outfit. I have chosen some of my favourites above... the Valentinos especially are on my wish list. I have been lusting after these shoes for months and months and to be honest any colour would suffice but the neon is stunning!

Have a great week, thanks for reading!

Mixing prints can be tricky business as the last thing you want is for it to look too busy. I was a tad  sceptical about mixing a bold floral and a striped sweater but I think it works. I'm converted and will be mixing things up a lot more now. I love playing around with different looks. A Breton stripe is a wardrobe staple and can be mixed and matched with all kinds of outfits. Floral print is everywhere at the moment especially with the spring stock creeping into most stores. I think Spring is well and truly a stones throw away... bring on the warmer weather!

This post is all about the laid back look. Now I'm not usually a casual kind of girl but when I saw these sneakers in Topshop I instantly loved them! So I've given my feet a rest today to rock these for a change. A red lip and clutch still make me feel a tiny bit glam (See I can't be totally dressed down!).
