Last Saturday I went for a beautiful dinner at The Markham Moor Inn at Retford, Nottinghamshire. The Restaurant is a grade two listed building and has plenty of character. The resturaunt is casual fine dining and fine it most definitely is. Writing the menu above made me want to eat the above all over again. As we arrived we were sat in the Lounge bar with a glass of wine to look over the menu. It took a while to pick as everything sounded absolutley amazing. Anyone that knows me knows I love my food so this was a perfect date night. We ordered three full courses (rude not to!) of the above. As we were seated in the Restaurant our pre starter came which was mushroom soup with creme fraiche and truffle oil... A. MA. ZING! If this was just the pre starter the food was about to be fantastic which it absolutley was. Every course was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The staff were polite and friendly and didn't rush you between courses, which I think is key when enjoying such gorgeous food. I would highly recommend a visit to this resturaunt if you are out and about in the area. One of the nicest and most enjoyable meals out we have had in a long time. 10/10 for presentation and service. The Markham Moor Inn is a winner from me.

Here is a link to their website to have a little nosy of whats on offer- Markham Moor Inn
